Terms of service
Last updated on 2026-10-27.
The service
Nui Systems L.L.C., a New Mexico limited liability company, runs numi. In these terms, "we" means Nui Systems L.L.C., and "you" means the person or organisation that holds the account.
The service is the API at https://api.numi.sh/v1, the MCP server at https://api.numi.sh/mcp, the bulk files, this site and the docs at https://docs.numi.sh. We extract its data from filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
You accept these terms when you make an account or use an API key. Write to hello@numi.sh with any question about them.
Accounts
You sign in through Clerk, with an email address that you control. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping its email address current.
An account is for one person or one organisation.
API keys and acceptable use
We show an API key once, when you make it, and store only a hash of it. Keep your keys secret. If you think someone else has one, revoke it on the account page and make another.
Do not share a key outside your organisation. Do not use several keys or accounts to send more requests than your plan allows.
Do not probe, overload or disrupt the service, and do not use it to break the law.
We may suspend a key or an account used to break these rules. Where we can, we write to you first.
Plans and billing
The sandbox plan costs nothing. On it you can read 10 companies: MSFT, AAPL, NVDA, AMZN, GOOGL, META, NFLX, CVX, JPM and SONY. You get 250 requests a day and 20 a minute, up to 3 API keys, and the bulk sample for those companies. We may change the sandbox companies; the current list is in the docs.
The Builder plan costs $20 a month, plus local tax where it applies. On it you can read every company, with 10,000 requests a day and 300 a minute, up to 3 API keys and the full bulk file, and you can ask us to extract a company that is not covered yet.
REST and MCP requests count toward the same limits. The daily count starts again at midnight UTC.
Stripe sells the Builder plan to you as merchant of record and processes every payment. Stripe adds the local tax that applies where you are and may show the price in your own currency. Stripe's own terms also apply to the payment. We never see your card details.
The Builder plan renews each month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, which the account page links to. The plan stays active to the end of the month you paid for, and after that your account is on the sandbox plan.
We do not refund part of a month, except where the law requires it. We tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you.
The data licence
On every plan, the free one included, Nui Systems L.L.C. grants you a non-exclusive commercial licence to use, display and redistribute numi data inside your own products and analyses, with no attribution required. You may not resell the bulk file, or a substantial part of it, as a dataset.
For example, you may show the data in an app, a report or a financial model that you sell, and your customers may see it there.
Where the data comes from
We take the data from public filings with the SEC and report each figure as the filing states it. We do not restate, adjust or audit the figures. The shares and the reconciliation status that we add are computed from them.
We extract the data automatically, and we can get it wrong. A company can tag a figure in its filing in an unusual way, or put a breakdown on an axis that we do not read. We give no warranty that the data is accurate, complete or current.
The data is not investment advice. Nothing in the service recommends buying or selling a security.
Availability
We do not promise any level of uptime, and the service can be slow or down without notice.
We may change, add or remove features. We post each change to the API in the changelog at https://docs.numi.sh/changelog.
Liability
We provide the service and the data as they are and as available, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims about the service is limited to the amount paid for your account in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if that is more.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. To close your account, write to hello@numi.sh from its email address. We cancel any paid plan when we close the account.
We may suspend or close an account used to break these terms. When an account closes, its API keys stop working.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We post the new text on this page, with a new date at the top.
When a change reduces your rights, we also write to the email address of your account at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
Governing law
The laws of the State of New Mexico govern these terms.
